CEO & Co - Founder

Dr. Capon co-founded Zendir as a university spin-out that rapidly grew into an international leader in satellite digital engineering. With a vision for sovereign simulation infrastructure, he's expanded Zendir's footprint across Australia, the UK, and the US. His strategic partnerships with AWS, Lockheed Martin, and the US Space Force have positioned Zendir at the forefront of space mission technology. A passionate STEM education advocate, Chris brings technical precision and innovative thinking to every aspect of Zendir's growth.

Dr. Brenton Smith

CTO & Co - Founder

With a PhD in satellite formation control and a background spanning astrodynamics, autonomous systems, and high-fidelity modelling, Dr. Smith brings a specialist expertise to his role as CTO and Co-Founder. Brenton bridges deep technical research with deployable, operational software and leads Zendir's team of technologists in the development of advanced simulation, mission rehearsal, and automation technologies for space operations. He has contributed to defence satellite missions, authored multiple peer-reviewed publications, and continues to mentor startups while shaping Zendir's technical roadmap.

With a career starting in corporate ops for Marsh and GE Capital, then moving into Australia's innovation ecosystem with roles in the Canberra Innovation Network and GRIFFIN Accelerator – Arthur Pappas is well-positioned to lead Zendir's operational strategy. Arthur has been instrumental in scaling our operations, by improving organisational effectiveness and streamlining cross-functional delivery.

With a career spanning significant missions in the U.S. Air Force and executive roles in the aerospace technology industry, Colonel McGillis provides transformational leadership and expert guidance within the fields of space safety and sustainability, special operations, and supply chains. Steve Baxter

Business Advisor Founder of Beaten Zone Ventures

Steve Baxter is the Founder and Lead Investor at Beaten Zone Venture Partners, investing in early-stage Australian sovereign defence capability for allied markets. A former Regular Army soldier turned tech entrepreneur, he built and exited two telecoms companies before becoming one of Australia’s most active early-stage investors with over 90 portfolio companies.
